Hydrotherapy Pool

Located at Ongwanada Resource Centre, the pool is open to any individuals or groups who could benefit from the healing and relaxation experienced through hydrotherapy, especially seniors, people with physical disabilities and those recovering from surgery. Visitors may share the pool with Ongwanada clients.

Radiology Services

The radiology department at Ongwanada Resource Centre provides x-ray, ECG and Holter Monitor services to Ongwanada clients and the community. The service is equipped with an elevating table for easy access for seniors and people with physical challenges. All physicians' orders for other institutions
accepted here. Free parking, wheelchair accessible.
Eligibility: Open to the public.
Hours: Weekdays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m..
Languages: English, French and Italian.
Waiting period: None. No appointment necessary.
Fees: Covered by OHIP.

Medical specialists and family physicians holding joint appointments with Ongwanada and Queen's University provide diagnostic, clinical, counselling and consultative services through their offices at Ongwanada Resource Centre. Hours: Weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On-call arrangements with various physician groups after hours.

Pharmacy
Julie Carriere, pharmacist
Located at Ongwanada Resource Centre, the pharmacy dispenses medications, maintains individual client profiles, reviews drug interactions, and monitors the use of medicines in cooperation with physicians. In-service training and a pharmacological reference library are available to staff.
Eligibility: Open to Ongwanada clients, staff and their families.
Hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Facility Rental
Ongwanada's board room, auditorium and meeting rooms are available for public use both during and after regular operating hours (based on availability and impact to daily operations). Facilities are available free of charge to most non-profit organizations, although a small fee is charged for special or after-hours set up. For-profit organizations may also use Ongwanada's facilities for a nominal fee. Audio-visual equipment is available and refreshments can be ordered through Ongwanada's Nutrition Services Department. Requests for use of facilities should be submitted in writing to the Co-ordinator of Support Services.
