Crescent Community Services
Located at 114 Wright Crescent in Kingston, Crescent Centre offers adults the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities of their choice. Activities can be vocational (i.e. employment) or non-vocational (i.e. leisure, arts, volunteering). The emphasis is on community integration, and generic services are accessed wherever possible.
Eligibility: Open to adults eighteen years of age or older with developmental disabilities who are interested in pursuing vocational or non-vocational goals.
Area served: Kingston and area.
Hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Referrals: Accepted from all sources including families, self, other agencies and advocates. Referrals within Ongwanada are made through the Individual Support Plan.
Waiting period: Because of the demand for this service, potential clients are encouraged to place their name on a waiting list while still attending school and before reaching the age of 18. The status of individual referrals can be obtained from Karen Menzies -Turner, Coordinator, Vocational and Community Services.
