Ongwanada follows a strict Supply Chain Management policy when handling large purchases and contracts. The policy contains a Supply Chain Code of Ethics which governs the organization.
When dealing with supply chain activities, Ongwanada representatives act with personal integrity and professionalism. Participants in negotiations will not engage in any activity that may create a conflict of interest, such as accepting gifts or providing preferential treatment, or publicly endorsing suppliers, or products.
Ongwanada's supply chain activities are also open and accountable. Contracting and purchasing activities are fair, transparent and are conducted to obtain the best value for public money. Ongwanada ensures that public sector resources are used in a responsible, efficient and effective manner.
All staff involved in purchasing and supply chain activities must follow not only this code of ethics, but the laws of Canada and Ontario. Ongwanada continuously works to improve supply chain policies and procedures and share leading practices.
