Dual Diagnosis Consultation Outreach Team (Providence Community Care Centre, Mental Health Services)
Provides multidisciplinary mental health consultations, assessments, and short term treatment service for adults (age 16+) with a dual diagnosis (a developmental disability combined with a psychiatric or behavioural disorder) in Kingston and the six counties of southeastern Ontario.

Kingston & Frontenac Housing, Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing
Manages 1,550 subsidized rental housing units for qualified applicants, including persons with developmental disabilities. Rent geared to income. Also runs 12 Endymion Apartments for people with disabilities with 24 hr on-call support from Outreach Attendant Care.

Kingston Community Counselling Centre - Adult Protective Service
A client-directed program which offers advocacy, case management, and counselling to adults with developmental disabilities living in Kingston and Frontenac County.

Mental Health Team in Dual Diagnosis (Queen's University)
Provides social work, psychological and psychiatric assessments for people with a dual diagnosis (a developmental disability combined with a psychiatric or behavioural disorder), referrals and some ongoing treatment.

Programs through the Ministry of Community and Social Services
- Special Services at Home helps people of all ages with developmental disabilities and children with physical disabilities live at home with their families by providing funding for parent relief, in-home life skills coaching and other support services not available in the community. Call 545-0539.
- Assistance to Children with Severe Disabilities (formerly the Handicapped Children's Benefit) An income-tested program which helps parents meet ongoing extra costs arising from their child's disability. Call 536-7312.
- Ontario Disability Support Program (formerly Family Benefits) Provides financial support and some employment supports to people with disabilities. Call: 545-4383 for employment support or 545-4553 for income support.
Programs through the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
- Assistive Devices Program. Helps people with long-term physical disabilities with the cost of assistive devices including communication devices, hearing & visual aids, wheelchairs, positioning aids, ambulation aids, orthotic devices, home oxygen, & supplies for such conditions as diabetes and incontinence. The Ministry maintains a list of authorized vendors & therapists who can assess a client's needs & complete the forms required to qualify for financial assistance. - Resource Teaching Program, Lennox & Addington Resources for Children: Trained preschool resource teachers work in partnership with families and day cares to provide inclusive programs for children ages two to six who are experiencing barriers to development. Assistance is also provided to children ages 6 to 12 in a school age program.

- Special Olympics: Offers a variety of recreational and sports activities for athletes with developmental disabilities including swimming, track & field, bowling, skating, floor hockey, softball, and soccer.
