POSITION:

As a member of the Ongwanada Management Team, the Clinical Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to behaviour therapists and direct support professionals, along with efficient and effective implementation of behavioural supports and services for persons diagnosed with a Developmental Disability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight and monitoring of various learning and behaviour assessments (e.g. stimulus preference assessments, AFLS, functional behaviour assessments);
  • Develop, implement and monitor individualized treatment and behaviour support plans in accordance with legislation, and compliance standards;
  • Support service coordination efforts to ensure access and integration for all clients within Ongwanada, and with key external stakeholders;
  • Ensure adherence to professional standards of service consistent with legislative requirements including the Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis Act, 2021, and directives and expectations of Ongwanada;
  • Ensure service targets are met;
  • Monitor budget allocations and reporting on variances;
  • Perform “On-Call” duty during “off hours” as required.

      QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

      • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Education or Psychology;
      • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing or working towards the BCBA certification. Must meet, or be working toward, meeting the qualifications for Clinical Supervisors of behaviour services as defined by MCCSS;
      • Current clinical expertise and knowledge of Developmental Services and Autism Spectrum Disorder;
      • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ work experience providing ABA services to children, youth and/or adults, or relevant experience;
      • Experience in supervising, training and assessing individuals providing behaviour analytic services;
      • Adherence to a professional code of conduct (e.g. Behavior Analyst Certification Board® Professional and Ethical Compliance Code, College of Psychologists of Ontario Standards of Professional Conduct)
      • Valid Standard First Aid, CPR and Crisis Training (CPI, SMG, UMAB);
      • Experience working as a professional within a clinical multidisciplinary team;
      • Valid G Driving License, with full driving privileges, and access to reliable vehicle;
      • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process.
