POSITION:
To provide excellence in purchasing services for Ongwanada, while complying with the Ontario Ministry of Finance Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and all international, federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. To support and meet the objectives of delivering best quality and value for money in all purchasing activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads the range of procurement processes across cross-functional teams i.e. RFP, RFQ, VOR, etc. Provides overall process coordination for the selection of suppliers of goods and services and establishes pricing agreements and contracts for purchases that ensure maximum value for money
- Ensures all purchasing activities are in compliance of the BPS Procurement Directives and applicable legislative and regulatory requirements;
- Acts as the point of contact with vendors and Group Purchasing organizations i.e. HealthPRO, Ministry of Government Services, OECM to ensure that the best value for money is achieved
- Monitor corporate VISA card allocation and use, according to organizational policies and procedures
- Act as liaison/point of contact with insurance providers (e.g. HIROC), as appropriate
- Assist with annual department budget development

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Post–secondary education in a business-related discipline and successful completion of a recognized supply-chain management certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years recent related experience;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Valid G Driving License with full driving privileges and access to a vehicle
Working condition
- Prolonged periods sitting in form of computer screen
- Occasional driving
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and attend work on a regular basis
