ONGWANADA

Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends, an initiative of Ongwanada, is a performing arts group focused on providing opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to give back to their community through live presentations involving music and drama.

Through weekly practices, we provide a community for individuals to develop their abilities, express themselves, and ultimately build a program with a message for the broader community.

We give thanks for the support of our community in embracing our music and message. Funding from The Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, The Community Foundation for Lennox and Addington, and The Kingston Rotary Club have helped us in establishing our groups.

Performances

Our community has given us great opportunities to share our songs. Highlights include presenting at Ongwanada’s Board of Governors’ Dinner, singing at local churches, playing at local conferences, awards nights, memorial services, and concerts.  We’ve shared the stage with some of Kingston’s finest musicians AND we are featured on a local album!
