Southeastern Regional Transitional Treatment Home
The Southeastern Regional Transitional Treatment Home is a four-bed home that provides assessment and treatment for a time period ranging from six months to two years for adults with a developmental disability and severe challenging behaviour.
People referred to the treatment home must have an ongoing commitment from their lead agency/caregivers to participate in the treatment process and to implement team recommendations upon discharge, have reserved funding with agency and family commitment for the person to return home, be medically stable, and have a case manager.
Features of the Home
Video surveillance, qualified staff on duty 24 hours a day. Access to an interdisciplinary team of professionals including: physicians, psychiatrist, psychologist, clinical dietician, registered nurse, and occupational/physiotherapists.
