Volunteer Services

2017 Volunteer of the Year recipients

Volunteer services primary goal is to provide companionship and integration within community activities for the individuals we support. This is accomplished through some of the following programs:

  • One-to-one befriending
  • Group support
  • Day program support
  • Recreational/therapeutic swim
  • Musical
  • Dog therapy
  • Best buddies
  • Exercise support/guidance
  • Hospital companionship/visits
  • Spiritual care

Other volunteer opportunities include:

  • Administrative/clerical
  • Cafeteria

Our minimum age requirement for volunteers is 16 years of age, with the following exceptions:

Those under the age of 16 can volunteer within a family unit as long as accompanied/supervised by an adult family member. High school students aged 14 and 15 can volunteer in order to complete the mandatory forty hour volunteer requirement.
