Location: Community Participation Supports at the Ongwanada Resource Centre
Hours of Work: No minimum guaranteed hours
Wage:Hourly: $28.88, $29.20, $29.52
Annual: $56,313.75, $56,936.62, $57,577.42

POSITION:
To provide program assistance for students/supported individuals and providing transportation to Community Participation Supports for individuals from Ongwanada’s Supported Group Living areas.

DUTIES:

-Assisting with Activities of Daily Living;
-Motivating and instructing residents/clients in programs;
-Accompanying clients for recreational swimming in the hydrotherapy pool; Driving residents/clients from their homes to their designated program area; Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

– Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker program or experience with individuals with a developmental disability.
– Incumbent must have current CPR/First Aid certificates and maintain re-certification as per Ongwanada standards.
– Must possess and maintain a valid G Driving license with full driving privileges.
– Excellent interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills.

Must successfully complete and maintain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training as per Ongwanada policies.
