re: Positive COVID-19 case

Dear Ongwanada family members,

We wish to advise that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.

At this time we are working closely with the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health Unit.  They have conducted contact tracing, have connected with anyone who may have been in close contact with the affected person and have directed them on the appropriate steps to take moving forward.

We understand this may upset and concern some, but we assure you that all measures are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our community.

KFL&A Public Health wants to ensure everyone that a positive case in any setting does not mean that others will be affected. Because the well-being of your loved ones and our staff is of the utmost importance we are working closely with the Health Unit to take all necessary steps to prevent the spread.

As you know, since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been following rigorous health and safety protocols and will continue to do so.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the situation, please do not hesitate to contact me. We will continue to keep you updated as information becomes available.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. Together we will get through this.

Sincerely,

Alastair Lamb

Chief Executive Officer
