Crescent Centre’s gardening program kicked off a partnership with Extend-A-Family Kingston (EAFK) that will have many benefits not only for our organizations but for the larger community as well.

The group traveled to EAFK and assisted in the harvesting, sorting, and bagging of fresh lettuce that will then, in turn, be donated back to local non-profit agencies that help individuals with food insecurity. Crescent was also able to bring back 50 bags of mixed lettuce to distribute to people at Ongwanada and use in our healthy eating program.

Thanks for inviting us to take part in this amazing initiative.
